Music Matinee | Opera Live & Explained: Der Rosenkavalier

The first edition of Opera live & explained is all about Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss: an opera full of humour, poignancy and famous Viennese waltzes. A lively introduction explains story, music and characters, interspersed with Live sung excerpts. Featured are sopranos Merlijn Runia and Erin Selin and mezzo-soprano Itzel Medecigo, with piano accompaniment by Mark van Nispen. Director Corina van Eijk explains her direction of Der Rosenkavalier toe.
