This time we took a look at the iconic Waag on Nieuwmarkt. Many people know the building, but don't know what went on at the top.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"327\" data-end=\"539\">In fact, the tower contained a cutting room, the place where the surgeons' guild gave lessons on real bodies. Often those of criminals. Rembrandt's <em data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"498\">Anatomy lesson from Dr Tulp<\/em>? That scene took place right here.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"327\" data-end=\"539\">\"That painting is really just a picture of what happened here,\" says Bob.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"871\">The masons also had their own space here. Those who wanted to belong to the guild had to make a masterpiece and these are still hidden in the walls. Look closely at the brickwork around doors and windows: you can see the craftsmanship there.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"907\" data-end=\"1103\">Missed previous episode?
