An old brown caf\u00e9 like you hardly see them anymore. Since 2015, it has belonged to Jeroen van der Valk. In this video, he talks about his caf\u00e9, the neighbourhood and life between the stories.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"551\"><strong>A neighbourhood full of people<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"553\" data-end=\"798\">The caf\u00e9 is in a special place, where tourism is sweeping the city in waves. But inside, it is still quiet, warm and familiar. \"This is my living room,\" says Jeroen. \"80% of the people who come here know each other. And everyone is welcome.\"<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"826\"><strong>Between boots and stories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"1088\">A red boot hangs from the facade, a nod to the past, when the neighbourhood still made boots for sailors at the port. Inside, time has lingered. Wooden tables, a tap full of Bootweiser, and guests who have been sitting at the same bar for years.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1422\">Jeroen is sure: this caf\u00e9 is not going anywhere. \"I'm not selling it. This is my baby.
