Waag Futurelab is a research institute and cultural institution, committed for 30 years to designing open and fair technology for a sustainable, just society. Through design research, Waag explores the social and cultural impact of new technologies and their application for social innovation. Every month, Waag organises changing workshops and performances in which artists, makers and audiences collectively question and dissect technology. Every Thursday, Waag gives free access to its FabLab with 3D printers, laser cutters and other machines normally only available to large factories. In this way, Waag enables everyone to make their own - and to help design an open, fair and inclusive future.
