Inspired by the call on the Zuiderkerk bell, we want to start the conversation about freedom with 4 BELLS FOR FREEDOM - especially now, at a time when our freedom is coming under increasing pressure. Freedom is fragile and can be lost just like that. That is why it is more important than ever to reflect together on what freedom means to us. Come along and participate, because freedom is never a given. You can write down your thoughts, poems and ideas about freedom for our garlands of freedom. They will be displayed on 4 October. 5 Street interactions on the Nieuwmarkt What does freedom mean today? Tell us on the Nieuwmarkt. The Amsterdam-based artist collective Moving Arts Project, together with Eva van Heijningen as goddess Libertas, will stand at the WAAG on Saturday mornings: between 10am-1pm on 12 July and 6, 13, 20, 27 September 2025.
