The festive opening on Saturday 30 May from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring hybrid music and an introduction by Jitske Lochtenberg (coach at the Sparringroom) on the power of art and kickboxing. Everyone is most welcome.
Eight artists demonstrate the power of art at the exhibition ‘kR*8!’. Through their paintings, collages, paper-cut art, mixed media, drawings, photography, installations and sculptures, they show how desperately the power of art is needed.
The ‘kR*8!’ exhibition shines a bright light on the necessity of art. In a constantly changing world where perspectives are under pressure, we as artists demonstrate how essential art is: to keep looking, questioning, and connecting. Art is a powerful tool for making different perspectives visible and enriching our view of the world. Especially in uncertain times, art offers space for reflection, wonder, and dialogue.
The works move through their beauty, vulnerability and freshness, and invite questions to be asked. Thus, art becomes a force that connects, challenges and inspires. Visitors are invited to engage in conversation. During the exhibition, the artists will be present in the gallery in varying formations, creating a direct encounter between creator, work, and audience.
