Initially a contemporary classical pianist, Inês Lopes gradually developed a freer musical practice and 'instant composing'. Her solo set features poetry, birdsong, city sounds and everyday fragments of conversation.
The Blue Lines Trio blends tradition and their own input in an appealing melting pot of mild anarchy, bouncy swing, spirited ballads and liquid scores. Viola player Mary Oliver is their guest performer.
