From Red Light to Bright Light

In the heart of Amsterdam, Jacqueline Haeberle is working on a quiet revolution. With her creative studio multiple identities, she wants to give new meaning to the Red Light District. "I have a mission," she says. "I want to transform the Red Light into the Bright Light."

What started as a design agency quickly grew into something bigger. multiple identities is today a multidisciplinary platform for fashion, identity and social change. "We build brands," Jacqueline explains.

From international clients like New Balance, The North Face and Adidas to local collaborations, the projects are diverse but always thoughtful. "I want to represent multiple identities," says Jacqueline. "And be the most exclusive space for inclusivity."

From design agency to public platform

The studio opened its doors in the Red Light District, a neighbourhood with a fraught reputation. But it was precisely there that Jacqueline saw room for something new. "We opened the space to the public," she explains. "We organise events, exhibitions, pop-ups."

It doesn't stop there. The studio is now a no-shop shop: a place that deliberately does not sell anything. "We are the first shop that doesn't want to sell anything," says Jacqueline. A statement against the buying culture, and in favour of awareness.
