Pride exhibitions at Gallery MAI as part of the Amsterdam Pride Art Route

From 26 July to 16 August, Gallery MAI at Geldersekade 30 in Amsterdam will present two remarkable exhibitions as part of Pride and WorldPride Amsterdam 2026. The exhibitions are part of the Pride Art Route Amsterdam, which connects over 40 locations and more than 100 artists during Pride via a roadmap and app.

At “It's Possible Without It” Artist Ton of Holland has created a series of 90 drawings that emerged after his visits to 90 different queer and gay events in Berlin. With sharp observation and a clear, almost analytical drawing style, he portrays the diversity of queer subculture: from fetish and leather parties to drag, dance, and underground scenes.

Additionally, it presents Frans Franciscus the exhibition “My Funny Valentine” with paintings and sculptures that re-interpret classical European art and biblical themes in a contemporary, humorous, and sometimes confrontational manner.

Together, both exhibitions offer a surprising look at queer identity, culture, and expression, each from its own unique artistic perspective.

Gallery MAI is open from Thursday to Saturday from 1 PM to 6 PM and has regular extra opening hours during Pride.
